Ice on Sycamore Pool

Ice On Sycamore Pool, Bidwell Park

This morning’s porch thermometer read 20 degrees.  That’s cold – but not as cold as December 8, 2009’s reading of 18 degrees. In 2009, the old Sycamore Pool dam was elevated to a height that stalled the creek enough for ice to form.  I wished the pool had frozen through that I might go ice skating. While that didn’t happen, there was nonetheless more than enough ice to photograph.  To see these photos enlarged go to: https://karenlaslo.com/photography/bidwell-park/
